The volume commemorates Italian dictator BENITO MUSSOLINI'S (1883-1945) state visit to Germany in September of 1937.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe front flyleaf bears the hand signature \"Hesner\" or similar name. Embossed frontispiece with gilding. The text pages within the book are parchment, and contain the itinerary of Mussolini's visit, brief descriptions of the localities that he toured, and an extensive history of Munich. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe remaining pages consist of black and white photographs of Munich and the Bavarian surroundings, such as the \"Feldherrnhalle\", Hitler's retreat at the Berghof, and sections of the modern Autobahn.
