British & Commonwealth Military Cap Badge Maker Marks

Here we start a new gallery of original and faked cap badge maker marks. Those found on British and Commonwealth nation (Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc.) badges. The aim is to equip the reader with necessary information so that they are not fooled by them.

Cap badges with maker marks are often sought after. For their rarity, not that many are actually found marked, and for the extra sense of authenticity that it may provide. However, cap badges with fake marks have been in circulation for some time. Some are well known, others less so, particularly those on World War One cap badges. 

I won't go into detail about the manufacturers themselves here. Original and fake marks will be shown only.
