An original Hungarian National Defense Cross. 37 mm white metal, the front with the Hungarian coat-of-arms, the reverse inscribed "A Havaert 1940" (for homeland). Mounted to tri-fold blue ribbon, not original to the award. Minor edge contact marks and surface marks.
