An original and scarce piper' plaid brooch badge of The 2nd Battalion Gordon Highlanders.
86 mm, die cast metal, silver plated. A polished disc with centrally mounted insignia of 2nd Battalion. Wreath of thistle and title "GORDON HIGHLANDERS" surmount the 'Egypt' and "India" battle honours, over the saltire. Stout pin to the reverse. Etched M22 1926. Reverse with what are assumed to be small silver test marks.
