An original and excellent condition schirmmutze or visor cap of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF). The Third Reich worker' organisation.
Navy blue wool upper. Black rayon outer band with oakleaves motifs. Oakleaf motif also embossed onto the chinstrap. Vulcanised visor. Embroidered DAF cap badge.
Inner with blue silk liner. Plastic diamond. Brown leather sweatband, embossed with tailor mark. Underneath the liner s the RZM pasted to the wall. The cap constructed over it. Ink stamped size 56.
An almost pristine cap. Not flattened like many others have been. Very little period use. Very well preserved.
