A rare 4-piece set of German interwar insignia, likely associated with the Deutsche Reichsbahn (German National Railway) or a related Reich transport service. The set includes:
One matched pair of striking silver oak frond collar tabs, finely embroidered in silver bullion thread on vivid royal blue wool.
One matched pair of winged wheel sleeve insignia, a classic symbol of German railway and transport services, also in silver bullion on blue wool.
The winged wheel motif is strongly associated with Reichsbahn officials, particularly technical or administrative personnel. The silver oak collar tabs may have denoted rank or department within the same service structure. One collar tab retains a period maker’s label from D. Dotzler, Nürnberg, a known supplier of uniform insignia and ceremonial embroidery in the interwar and early Third Reich period.
All pieces show light age toning but remain in very good condition. A rare and visually striking group from the early years of centralized German transport administration. Probably of high-ranking officer grade given the quality.
