A scarce Imperial German shooting award, circa late 19th century. 40 mm steel award, silver wash finish to the front, with enameled centre piece. The cross is circled with eagles in the Pour le Merite style. The rear is inscribed but is feint. On suspension ring with bow ribbon mounted for wear. Oxidation marks to the reverse, a small chip to the enamel. Circa 1900.
