Original Italian WWI ribbon bar worn on uniform tunics by a veteran who served during combat on the Italian Front.

Includes (right to left):

• War Merit Cross (Croce al Merito di Guerra)
• WWI War commemorative medal

• 1918 Medal for the Unification of Italy (Medaglia dell’Unità d’Italia)

Features:

• Mounted on original backing with correct period stitching. Full size ribbons, total length 11 cm.

• Ribbon bar represents decorated wartime service.

• Unification medal indicates participation in Italy’s full national struggle from the Risorgimento to the Great War

Condition:

• Clean original ribbon colours with light age wear. The ribbons have had their cyphers removed leaving the pin holes.

• A fine example of a Kingdom of Italy veteran’s ribbon bar, likely worn in the 1920s–30s
