Napoleon III Imperial State Arms Carriage Badge Plate

An original and rare antique French second empire carriage plate, Napoleon III imperial coat of arms. Circa 1850s.

Embossed white metal, gilded finish, decorated with the great arms of the Imperial Household. 9.5 x 11 cm. Mounts to reverse. 

Tarnish spots to front, gilt finish has lost some lustre. Complete and undamaged.
