Original WW2 German Sudetenland Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938), awarded to commemorate the annexation of the Sudetenland region from Czechoslovakia.

Bronze medal featuring the same front design as the Anschluss Medal—a man helping a man onto a podium crowned with the German eagle and swastika. The reverse bears the date "1. Oktober 1938." Comes with its original ribbon, red with black and white stripes.

Medal retains good detail with light patina, ideal for collectors of WW2 German awards.

The Sudetenland Medal was instituted on 18 October 1938 to commemorate the German annexation of the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia, following the Munich Agreement. It was awarded to military personnel and civilians who participated in or supported the occupation, and later extended to those involved in the March 1939 occupation of Prague.
