Original WWII British MkII Steel Helmet – Textured Finish, Complete with Chinstrap
Original WWII British MkII Steel Helmet – Textured Finish, Complete with Chinstrap
This is an authentic British MkII steel helmet, the standard-issue combat helmet worn by British and Commonwealth troops throughout the Second World War. Introduced in 1938 as an improvement over the WWI Brodie design, the MkII served with soldiers from Dunkirk to D-Day and beyond.
This particular example features:
-
Correct rimmed steel shell with factory-textured paint (now rust-patinated from age and wear)
-
Original liner and canvas chinstrap with spring attachments
-
No visible post-war repaint or refurbishment
-
Heavily worn surface with consistent oxidation and service patina
This is a great unrestored MkII with all the right details for collectors of original, unaltered British WWII militaria.
Note: This is a vintage WWII-era item in as-found condition with clear signs of age and service use.
