Original WWII U.S. Army Air Force pilot officer's visor cap, commonly referred to as a "crush cap." Made by Kahn Tailoring Co., Indianapolis, a well-known wartime uniform contractor. Constructed from khaki wool with a leather visor, leather chinstrap, and band. Features the large gilt eagle insignia emblematic of U.S. Army officers. Interior includes golden lining and diamond-shaped tailor label, and celluloid sweat shield. This iconic cap shows genuine wartime service wear, leather cracked visor with loose stitching on one corner, with the odd moth hole. Size 7-1/4.
