U.S. Navy Aviator Officer’s Combination Cap

A well-preserved original U.S. Navy officer’s combination cap, produced by D.S. Lavigne Inc. of Miami, Florida.

This khaki-top cap features:

• Polished black peak visor.

• Large silver-and-gilt metal officer’s eagle cap insignia on a black wool oval backing.

• Black mohair cap band with gold braid chinstrap

• Maker-marked leather sweatband and fully intact size tag: 7 1/4.

The interior shows minimal wear, with original lining and stitching in excellent condition. The visor has a crack/split down the top centre.
