An original and very scarce pair of officer's shoulder scale epaulettes of the Royal Midlothian Yeomanry Cavalry (RMLYC). 1843 until 1871.
Plated metal upper with entwined initials RMLYC to the centre. Complete with plain Victorian crowned buttons. The scales riveted to steel plate. Reverse with mount lugs and button fastener for mount to uniform. 95 x 175 mm.
The metalwork with surface marks, scratches, and dents on the ends.
