45 mm iron construction medallion. Silvered finish. The front with bust of Salvator Mundi, this inscribed along the circumference. The rear with scenic view of the city of Vienna. Outer inscribed "AVRO PRO SOLITO DANT FERREA TEMPORA FERRUM MUNUS R.P, VIENNIENSIS" (“For gold they give iron as a of the Viennese Republic in iron times.”) Signed J. TAUTENHAYN FECIT 1917. Very good condition.
In original case of issue. 81 x 81 x 19 mm. Navy blue faux leather. Silver embossed coat-of-arms of Vienna and sword. Lightly worn surface.
