An original Austro -Hungarian Empire Iron Cross of Honour (Verdienstkreuz).
35 mm width. Two-piece joined iron cross. The surface of the award has some superficial pitting marks and discolouration, quite common for this award with it being iron construction without a surface finish. On dark blue period ribbon, not original to the award.
