An original 1914 Mons Star medal awarded to members of the British Expeditionary Force deployed during the initial phase on the Great War.
Die cast brass, Aug-Nov 1914 banners, original ribbon. The Star is awarded to #5177 PTE E.T. STOREY 21/LRS: (21st Lancers). A rare medal to a 21st Lancers trooper since that unit didn't serve in France. Rank and entitlement confirmed by medal cards. Later transferred to R. W. Kent regiment and then Veterinary Corps. Fine condition.
