An original 1914 Mons Star medal awarded to members of the British Expeditionary Force deployed during the initial phase on the Great War.
Die cast brass, Aug-Nov 1914 banners, original ribbon. The Star is awarded to #7986 L. CPL T. WARREN 1/R.SC:FUS (1st battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers). Killed in Action. Rank and entitlement confirmed by medal cards, although later added first and middle naming on the index card is incorrect. Fine condition.
