An original 1914 Mons Star medal awarded to members of the British Expeditionary Force deployed during the initial phase on the Great War.
Die cast brass, Aug-Nov 1914 banners, original full length ribbon. The Star is awarded to #6773 PTE. H. J. Sperring (Henry John) 1/SOM:L.I. (1st battalion, Somerset Light Infantry Regiment). Survived and discharged 7th May 1916. Very good condition.
