An original pair of WW1 British medals. A .925 silver British War Medal (BWM) and gilded alloy Inter-allied Victory medal. Along with a silver Driver's Award.
Both war medals officially impressed: SS115484 J. RUSSELL. ACT.L.STO.R N (Acting Lead Stoker - engine room). Service records indicated patrol service probably in the North Sea and/or Channel areas. Served 1914 to 1919, then transferred to the Royal Navy Reserve.
