Constructed of nickel-silver, on loop for suspension from its period original short ribbon, the obverse with a central raised crown, within a laurel wreath, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG”), above a wreathed number “9” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 31.40 diameter, very fine.
