Original Second World War British Army service dress tunic and trouser set tailored for an officer of the light infantry.
This high-quality tunic features full Lieutenant rank insignia on the epaulettes, along with formation signs of the Lancashire and Border Military District attached to each arm.
Constructed in a high-grade khaki wool, the tunic retains its original gilded circular brass ball buttons to the front and pockets, with silver and gilded buttons on the epaulettes. Officer's K.O.Y.L.I. collar badges are mounted. The uniform exhibits excellent wartime tailoring typical of the officer cut. The uniform tailor's label is marked Lt. Graham and dated 18.08.44, presumably the last time the uniform was tailored. Belt hooks on each flank.
The uniform shows wear consistent with use, small holes both externally and internally in the silk lining. Some light staining and age and usage related tones.
A superb piece of WW2 British officer’s uniform, ideal for collectors of wartime infantry militaria, re-enactors, or displays.
