Original WW2 British Army Medical Service armband featuring a machine-stitched red wool felt cross on a heavy white cotton field. The armband is ink-stamped “Army Medical Service” in purple, indicating official issue. 75 mm (3") width, 38 cm length, although it has been trimmed on one end. Age relating toning and surface marks, a few pin holes on one end.
These armbands were worn by medics, orderlies, and stretcher-bearers on active duty and in field hospitals. Shows expected age and wear, with original stitching and wartime manufacture evident.
