A collection of cap badges of The British Civil Defence related badges. Second World War period and later.
Six badges. All in good condition.
1) Civil Defence Instructor. Silver plate with enamels. Maker marked J.R. GAUNT LONDON. Early 1950's.
2) Women's Land Army. Gilded brass with enamels. Pin mount. WW2 period for production during the rationing period.
3) A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions). Nickel plated alloy. WW2 period for air raid volunteers during the war.
4) W.V.S Civil Defence (Women's Voluntary Service). Nickel plated alloy and enamels. Pin mount. Maker marked L. SIMPSON LONDON. War issue.
5) National Savings. Nickel plated alloy and enamels. Pin mount. Maker marked J.R. GAUNT LONDON. Donation badge for savings deposits then used in the war effort.
6) W.R.V.S (Women's Royal Voluntary Service) Nickel plated alloy and enamels. Pin mount. Maker marked SUTTON BADGE CO. COLDFIELD. Early 1950's period.
