An original pair of Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC) slip-on shoulder titles, manufactured during the Second World War. These cloth insignia would have been worn on the epaulettes of battledress blouses by enlisted men and NCOs serving with the RAOC.
Each title features the black-embroidered letters "RAOC" (Royal Army Ordnance Corps) on a khaki wool/felt background. Both are complete with their original cotton slip-on backing straps, one olive-drab and the other darker green—showing slight variation in material, which is not uncommon with wartime manufacture.
These are classic examples of British WWII insignia, perfect for completing a battledress display or collecting original wartime uniform components.
