A WW2-era Service Medal of the Order of St John, in silver, awarded to Corporal W. Clarke of the Kent Division, St John Ambulance Brigade (SJAB) in 1945.

This officially impressed issue bears the rim inscription:
“30808 CPL. W. CLARKE KENT S.J.A.B. 1945.”

The obverse features Queen Victoria’s crowned effigy, used across long-service issues well into the mid-20th century. The reverse shows the Order’s arms encircled by the Latin motto “Magni Prioratus Ordinis Hospitalis Sancti Johannis Hierosolymitani in Anglia.”

Suspended from the original black and white ribbon, the medal is in very fine condition with attractive age patina and crisp edge naming.

Light contact marks, a 1 mm score to the front planchet.
