An original cap badge of the British Columbia Dragoons. Mobilised in 1940 as a motorcycle unit, converting to the 9th Armoured Regiment in 1941. Fighting in Italy, Northwest Europe, and the Netherlands, they achieved historic breakthroughs at the Hitler and Gothic Lines.
33 x 45 mm. Die stamped gilding metal. Lug mounts. Good age patina to front. Reverse maker marked "Birks". Very good condition.
