WW2 Canadian Army Prince Edward Island Highlanders Cap Badge

This is a scarce original Second World War cap badge of the Prince Edward Island Highlanders, a proud Canadian infantry regiment with Scottish roots and maritime heritage.

Struck in white metal, the badge follows a traditional Scottish pattern featuring the cross of St. Andrew, thistles, and the figure of St. Andrew at centre. It bears the royal crown above, the scroll "THE PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND HIGHLANDERS", and the regiment's Gaelic motto:
"Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" — No one provokes me with impunity.

The PEI Highlanders were part of the Canadian Army’s home defence during WWII, and later contributed men to other overseas units.
