WW2 Canadian Auxiliary Territorial Service (CATS) Cap Badge

An original and very scarce cap badge of the Canadian Auxiliary Territorial Service (of Ontario); often referred incorrectly as the Canadian Air or Auxiliary Transport Service.

Stamped on brass with lug mounts correctly positioned, circlet inscribed "Canada Sumus Paratae", 39 mm x 52 mm.

A short lived unit that was formed in 1938 along with many other Canadian women's volunteer units, before the Canadian government established The Canadian Women's Army Corps (CWAC).
