Original WW2 German Afrika Korps (DAK) eagle shield for the tropical pith helmet, featuring the silvered Wehrmacht eagle and swastika emblem.
This die-stamped metal insignia was worn on the left side of the pith helmet and is maker-marked “PuC” within a diamond, identifying Paulmann & Crone of Lüdenscheid, a known wartime insignia manufacturer.
The reverse retains its original prongs, and the obverse shows black paint finish losses, minor wear with an honest field patina. A textbook and desirable piece of tropical Wehrmacht headgear insignia.
