An original Eastern People's Medal (Ostvolkmedaille) 2nd Class With Swords, awarded to non-German personnel from Eastern European countries who served with distinction in support of the German war effort, particularly on the Eastern Front.
This example is the combatant version, identifiable by the inclusion of swords crossed through the wreath. The medal is constructed of zinc with a silvered finish, most of which is retained. Fitted with the original suspension ring, ribbon, and pin.
Condition is very good, showing light wear and honest patina consistent with age. The ring is not maker marked.
