Original WW2 German Army General Assault Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Semi-hollow back construction, typical of mid-war production, possibly attributed to the firm Karl Karneth (Gablonz). Zinc-based with a silvered finish, much of which is still retained. Features the classic eagle grasping a swastika above a crossed bayonet and grenade within an oval wreath. Functional hinge and pin assembly present. A solid example of a genuine mid-war assault badge, ideal for collectors of German combat awards.
