Original WW2 German Kriegsmarine officer's cap eagle, hand-woven in gilt bullion wire, intended for wear on officer's naval service caps.
This insignia depicts the Wehrmacht-style national eagle clutching a political emblem, embroidered in golden-bullion thread on a dark navy blue/black background, representing service in the Kriegsmarine.
The eagle would be hand-stitched above the cockade on the front of the service cap and this is a genuine wartime issue piece. Neatly removed from a cap.
