An original German campaign medal "Winterschlact im Osten 1941/42" (winter war in the East). Die cast zinc with darkened centre along with silvered rim and helmet. The silvering has faded a little but is holding up quite well.
Without ribbon ring maker mark. The ribbon is period and cut short.
