This is an original WWI-era glengarry cap badge for the Cameron Highlanders of Canada (79th battalion), one of Canada's distinguished infantry regiments with Scottish heritage.
Struck in white metal, the badge features a bold rampant lion within a laurel and thistle wreath, surmounted by a King’s crown. The motto “Ullamh” (Gaelic for "Ready") is scroll-mounted at the base. This example retains its two original lugs on the reverse and is free from damage or repairs.
A fine example for collectors of Canadian military insignia or those building a Commonwealth or WWI badge set.
