Offered here is a hard-to-find WWII-era Siamese (Thai) M30/32 steel combat helmet, complete with its large brass national crest mounted to the front. As part of Siam's military modernization, the M30/32 was modified from the Japanese Type 90; the Japanese forces occupied Siam at the time.

  • Helmet Shell: Retains much of its original green combat paint with a patina of surface wear, scratches, and age oxidation. The flared skirt, side vent holes and mount holes consistent with the Type 90 design. No structural cracks or repairs.

  • Crest: Original Siamese brass badge with bold detail, securely affixed—this was standard issue during the pre-war and early WWII years.

  • Interior: Fitted with a later French leather liner—likely a postwar Thai refurbishment as the Korean War approached. Thailand continued using these helmets into the 1950s. The liner is clean and supple, mounted using period hardware. The full chinstrap is present, aged, and spilt at the left buckle.

These helmets are exceedingly scarce, especially with their original national insignia. They represent a fascinating piece of Southeast Asian military history—an era where Thailand (then Siam) navigated alliances with both Axis and Allied powers.

🔎 A genuine and compelling display piece for any WWII or Asian militaria collection.
